Just picked up a Tab!!

My Wife is the Best!!! She just let me score a tab from sprint i couldnt be more excited lol.
So whats the first thing I should do with it?!?!?!
What are the benefits of rooting vs unrooting?
Mandatory apps?

oh and on a funny note...
ask the sprint techs how much onboard memory it has and they went to the back to look it up...they came out and said everything we found said 1.5G and then I showed them the "about phone storage" menu lol

I rooted mine just to remove some of the pre-installed applications. I'm sure in the future there will be much more customization that can be done when rooted.

As for application it depends on what you use your tab for, I use mine for work so having docs to go is a must which allows me to sync all my files from my computer to my tab. Dolphin HD is a must too which will allow you to view all websites in a desktop view rather then the mobile view. Beside that look around the market for what fits your needs.

I would definitely root it if just for the LCD density changer...change it to 200 (I think is my setting if I am right).

How do u root? downloaded the apk for z4root and did the temporary root option...and it did nothing?? Tried to run lcddensity and told me it didn't have root access?? Help!!??
