I purchase my HTC ONE today from Best Buy. I cancelled my order with Newegg.com because they hadn't received their phones yet and I was getting nervous about obtaining my phone before the HTC trade in deadline. I paid an extra $26. including tax (I had a $50. gift card reserved as part of a promotion). The sale person at Best Buy gave me a Zaggs screen saver free, even though the sale ended yesterday so I broke even. I have started to play with it and love it so far. I am having difficulties with the back and home keys responding as are some other posters and was thrilled to find that my phone doesn't have any dead pixels (I downloaded the 'test for dead pixels' app and my speakers don't appear to have gaps. I just hope that my pixels don't get stuck. The sound is great so far and I haven't gotten a chance to play with the camera. My calls so far a loud and clear and have a strong signal. I will find out more about the phone and the battery strength as I go along.

I am using a Diztronic case which looks great, doesn't add bulk and has holes for all of the accessories and switches except for the volume, where it has a covering. I am not sure that I like the covering as it seems to possibly interfere with using the volume switch. The Best Buy salesman commented on the case for both it's looks and make up. I will post an update on the thread where we discuss our cases when I have a better feeling for how this will work.

I sampled the included ring tones without finding any that I liked. I would like to use some music that I downloaded onto my phone as I am doing - oops, did - on my old phone. Does anybody know how to use downloaded music as a ring tone? I was able to do that on my Samsung Epic 4G.

If you are using a screen protector, that can affect the response of the back and home keys.

As for the ringtones, use a file explorer and put the music you want as a ringtone in the Ringtones folder. It will then show up as an option when you go to select a ringtone.

in the music player... hit the three dots next to the song you want to use

there you will get options to trim the song and set it as ringtone

I got the Zagg screen protector too and they put it on for free! Couldn't get my back button to work unless I really pushed on it so I took the screen protector off and problem solved. I have insurance on the phone and I tossed my evo 3d around all day and there isn't one scratch on the screen of a 2year old phone

I don't know why the trim song into ringtone option is not available on my phone. When I tap the '...', it allows me to set as ringtone tone, but no further. There are two choices: 1-set as contact ringtone, 2-phone ringtone. There is no trim option. Can someone help me with this please? Thanks
