Just received my Shield and need help.

Thought Kodi was already installed.If it is i cant find it.Do i need to install it?

It's on the Google play store. Just open that and get it from that.

Kodi itself is legal, some of the extensions for it are not but those are made by third parties.

The best way to install Kodi is from the official download page. They actual offer a 64 bit version in android arm which the shield is capable of utilizing and is very fast and stable. The download page is: Kodi.tv/download. Official link not fully shown as to not break any site rule on webpage posting. Just Google if unsure.

Thanks for the info. I have another Question. The Directions say to tap the Shield to turn it on.
Is there an option on the Remote or the Controller to turn it on?

The shield emblem on the controller, and I think the b button too. Controller it's either the circle big button or the home button.

If you just put your shield in sleep mode instead of full power off either the remote or the game controller will bring it out sleep mode. On the remote just pressing the large round button will work and the nvidia icon on the controller will do the same.
