Just Recently Bought TWO Htc EVO 4g's for $150

last friday i picked up two HTC Evo 4g's from a guy in portland. awesome deal.
the black evo is in SUPERB condition. just the charger is/was loose and difficult to get to charge (after taking it to sprint and them not fixing it, i opened it up) the charger port was sitting INSIDE LOOSE! so i got creative (ghetto) with some eletrical tape and got it pressured in there (not to much pressure!) to where it charges no problem! now, i did some research. this phone runs the HW version 002 and gets the white spots... so i figured i could switch the inside components over from the other evo i bought (white, is BEAT to hell but works great) come to find out it runs HW003 and the screen and motherboard wont switch over... now ive come to the question, which phone do i keep? the beat up but newer white evo? or the older but superb black evo?? help!!

btw, so far, i LOVE this phone. my first actual GOOD phone.

I don't understand the dilemma here lol use the one that works well! And get it rooted. I strongly recommend that. Just find someone trustworthy though.

i rooted my optimus S... i can do it myself. but im not going to. nothing good or extra comes from rooting for me.. i dont need all of that stuff.

the dilemma is:
they both work great. the white one is beat up on the edges and such. it is also newer and has the HW version 003. the black one is mint (and the charger port is "fixed") but runs the hw version 002... it also has the two bright spots. didn't know if they possibly will get worse? if it would be worth it to keep the 003 anyway? i dunno. one or the other is getting sold as i dont need/want/could the moeny from the other...

I could never not root SAVE battery diss junk most of all ...(diis jusk to save battery and rom manager or other to freez or stop un used apps ) If i was you you said one works good but is beat up ..I dont know a hole lot about the 002 to 003 google bench marks. the white ones beat up but works well and the newer one id use it .. I can't help asking you said portland I live in eugene OR do mean OR?
