Just rooted....now what?

Jusy rooted my sprint S5 using towel root and im really excited to see my phones full potential! Coming from iPhone, im new to rooting software, tweak, apps, whatever you wanna call them. So what apps should I download? What are musts? All I have is SuperSU, rootchecker, and Pandown. Please help a newbie

Titanium backup allows you to freeze or remove any app. Be advised: this app is quite powerful. Freeze apps first. I don't use it anymore, but when I did, I never deleted any apps.

TI backup is my only reason for root. I have no reasons for ROMs and when I do go to ROMs, I end up going back to stock after a few weeks.

Thanks for the quick replies gents. Ive downloaded TI backup and backed up all my files. So in theory if my phone craps out I will have my entire phone backed up through TI?

No. A custom recovery will back up your entire ROM in case something goes wrong.

Install xposed framework, once you do that you will have a option of many modules that works on xposed frameworks, by which you can customize your phone without the need of installing any Custom Rom. Make sure you install modules made for your phone.

So, I downloaded Xposed 2.6.1 and im getting this message under the Framework tab. Is this normal for a first time load? Or did I miss a step in this process?

No that isn't abnormal. If you have a custom recovery installed I would make a Nandroid backup just in case.

Awesome! Thanks for all the help guys. Just installed and seems to be working fine. One last question though, when you say phone specific do you mean S5 specific modules or samsung?

Since you are using S5, you can opt for Samsung touchwiz modules. You can find a list of modules from the link below. I would suggest Gravity Box/Xblast tools if its available for touchwiz roms, its one in all module for eveything.
