Just upgraded to kit kat and camera

When snapping a photo I have to wait for the processing bar to finish before I move the camera. Why? Before as soon as I snapped a photo I could move the camera without waiting. Now when I move it, what was in my view when I snapped isn't anymore.

Anyone else notice this??

I can't seem to figure out how to do that. I have a side bar with the moon and star showing but can't tap on it for anything to happen??
