I would say it was a cashier-related issue. Next time, ask them to push credit card on their screen, then attempt to pay with SP.

It has worked for me every time I've used it at a number of Walmarts in my area.

My brother convinced me last week to use Samsung pay.
He Said the cashier can never recharge your card after you leave, pretty hard to hack as your actual card number is never used.
So last weekend I started using it. I used it at walmart, Sam's club, McDonald's. It works everywhere I have used it [still have to try the gas pump trick].
I LOVE IT!!
I have mine set up for iris scan instead of finger print. Works flawlessly!
I love the look on people's faces when I pay. Even my wife was pretty impressed with how easy it works.
I will probably only pay with Samsung pay going forward. It's just soo much easier and safer..

I've found I have to change the payment option to credit for it to work better. Now it may also depend on your card/bank.

I just joined the club - so to speak. Used Samsung Pay several times with no problems. Mostly used Gear S3, but I also put membership cards in so that I don't have to carry around all those key tags and cards. Worked like a champ.

Worked on this at Sam's. This is the identical terminal at our Wal-Mart and works there too. Chose Debit on the sams club screen then ran the card.

Bumped into my wife's stash of Gifts for Christmas.
There's a Gear S3 Frontier watch in her hiding spot .
She knows that I'm not a watch guy, so this may be for my son. Having said that, I can't see using a watch instead of my phone, my question is, how do you like it, and is it worth it to have the watch. My son already has all this stuff, but he has the LG v30+ and a watch already.
My guess is, it's for me. I'll try to use it, but just can't see forgoing my hand held note 8 for a high priced handcuff. I seen a freaking iPhone X too, she knows no APPLE products allowed in my house, unless that's for her new old man.
My father-in-law wanted that, but he has the iPhone 8 already. We'll see. Just trying to gage the room and see who's using these watches. 900.00 phone with a 400.00 dollar watch.

I was considering trying Samsung Pay (have never used any kind of mobile pay before) but I just checked Samsung's list on their website and my bank in my town doesn't even support Samsung Pay, which doesn't surprise me at all. So, if my main bank doesn't support it, which is where the bulk of my purchases go through, there is no point in setting it up for my rarely-used-locally credit cards. Such is life in the middle of nowhere.

Samsung Pay is, by far, the best mobile payment system out there. Apple Pay and Android Pay don't come close at all.

I try it at BP Gas Station pump and didn't work. It didn't recognize my BofA Debit and CC. :/

My Note 8 is on JOD. I had no down pmt too which made it ideal fantastic phone
