K-9 Mail

I just installed K-9 mail, added a POP account and a live.com account. When I try to send an e-mail from the POP, it says "530 Authentication is required before sending (R0107005).
What do I need to do?

The SMTP server you have set up for the POP account apparently requires authentication. Do you have the appropriate settings from whoever manages the POP and SMTP servers? Do you have the POP account set up on your PC so you can copy the settings?
