I'm rooted and running the stock debloted froyo can kangbang 1.3 be flashed over this rom? Also what are the mirrors?? Still new to this

Definitely read up on 1.3 in that thread ^. There are quite a few people having less than desirable issues with it, and there are quite a few people who love it and are running it smoothly. And the Voodoo part isn't as scary as it sounds, but don't go in uninformed.

Ditto on the advice to read up and get informed especially on voodoo before proceeding. Also......mirrors are just other sites to download files. Some downloads like the commrom are in such demand when they first get released, its necessary to have multiple download sites set up to handle the volume.

Thanks for the help is there a "dictionary" of sort defining what a rom..kernal..etc.... is/does that way i can better understand the info in that massive thread.

This is how I think about it.
It goes (in descending order)

Theme-Flashed over a Rom; changes icons, buttons and colors of the Rom.
Rom-All the stuff you see and interact with on the phone.
Kernel-Used to allocate resources (processor, ram) for the phone/Rom to function.
Phone Hardware-Processor, ram, storage, etc.

If this is completely off, please feel free to correct me.

I'm still not sure what the scary part of Voodoo is other than that you shouldn't flash a non-voodoo rom over a voodoo one. Am I missing something I should also be scared about?

nope, just remember that, know what you have to do if you need to flash a non-voodoo kernel and that's it

Are you already on Voodoo? If so, then no I dont believe so.

I think that some of the terror is the installation but other than that the non over a voodoo is the biggest no-no

Me? Yes, as of a few days ago when I installed the ComRom. I can't say I really see much of a difference in my phone. Maybe its a little faster but that's about it.

So if I eventually want to sell my phone and I have to get it back to stock, I assume there is a way to unvoodoo it back to the factory settings?
