So I have tried many times 4 exact to move over to iOS iPhone X to be exact because at my work everyone uses an iPhone and my wife also. I think imessage, calendar sharing, photo sharing and find my friends will all be very useful being on the same ecosystem BUT all 4 times I just keep coming back to my Pixel 2 XL. I can't get use to iOS I find it very boring just after a day.

The things that keep drawing me back to the Pixel are:

The feel of the rear hard plastic cover
Thinner lighter
Pure Android experience
Google photos
Google News
Chromecast movies using Terrarium TV
Google Drive
Flexibility
Camera

I know I can access alot of Google apps on a iPhone but I am one that likes to have everything with the one company and not cross platform.
As there are many reasons what keeps driving me back to the Pixel, the camera is the biggest reason. This camera hands down blows any other camera I have used on any smartphone out of the water. My wife always says to me "take the photos with your phone" cos she just knows how good it is. Yes this phone is not perfect but neither is any phone, biggest draw back is the screen but hey all the great things I have listed make up for it.

Wondering does anyone else keep coming back to the Pixel after trying other phones because this is a dam great phone!

I had a 6s which died and I fixed. But I have given it to my child as I find ios boring. I love my P2XL and just love the whole pixel android experience.

I own both the 2xl and the X and by far the pixel is the best so far for me. Don't get me wrong the X is a nice device but not as good as the pixel.

Agree with the boring stuff regarding ios. I also have an iphone 7 and kinda enjoyed installing the new Ios 12 betas but that didn't keep me interested for long and it's not even released yet!
I enjoy the android tweaks that I'm allowed to do while Apple allows me to change the wallpaper but personal icon placement is a no no. Android has come a long way and is so user friendly. Ios is like our way or the highway. Apple fans always tout better security but if one has computer savvy and most do these days then you know what's safe and what isn't. No phone is 100% secure anyway.
iPhones are for those who don't want to mess with anything just use their devices as Apple intends for them to be used, God bless 'em.
I know maybe one or two people who use iMessage and iPhone-a-holics say that is one of the biggest reasons to put up with the rest of it. iMessage. SMS may be an older platform but dang it works fine.
BTW the new iOs 12 is Borrrrring!!! After the first 5 minutes.

^^^This. I also tried ios 12 and found it awful. Battery life was even worse.

I gave my iPhone 6 to a friend of mine after I fixed the screen and battery on it. He was always android but is a very light user. He loves ios as it is simple to use. He just wants a row of apps neatly lined up. So for him it is perfect.

I like to play with and customise my phone so Android is now perfect for me. Especially on my Pixel 2 XL.
