why do i keep getting random zip files like 2022-07-27 03-29-17.zip on my downloads

Have you been recently downloading multiple photos from Google Photos or anywhere else? That typically causes them to download as a ZIP file rather than as individual image files.

I unzipped one on my Mac, and noticed the first file on the list said "0.musicolet.backup."
"Musicolet" is a music player app I have installed on my phone. Any chance you're using that app?

P.S. I realize it probably won't look the same since I'm using a Pixel 9 Pro XL.

I would guess it's some kind of automatic music file download that Musicolet does for offline play. You could send in email to the dev to request more details: musicolet@krosbits.in
