Anyone experiencing the same? Over the past two days I've been constantly losing 4G and going to 3G or no data then back. Tonight I'm stuck on 3G unless I reboot phone. Seems like it takes a restart took care of it twice, but losing data much more frequently over the past three days. Verizon says no local issue.

I was down in New York City yesterday (I live in Albany) and was experiencing this same exact thing. Extremely frustrating.

It also seems like a newer post explains the Thunderbolt issue where you lose 4G and data then have to reboot or try switching off network/airplane mode to get 4G back. That is seriously frustrating. Oh well, still love 4G!!!

Arizona was down a couple of days ago on 3G and 4G what's up with all this ? And to stop the unlimited data for tiered data............and to have issues with the network. I don't want 4G and the phone issues with it. I am staying put till I have no choice in the matter.

Im in NY (Manhattan) all day for work except friday & saturdays. 4G has been fine for me no issues to report. Also no issues in the outer boros that I am in alot, bk, qns, staten island

Most of time LTE works fine for me in NYC, but it whenever I run into problems I almost always find out later that it was a temporary network issue.

I am in Maryland and have been on 3G since 6p yesterday. I contacted Verizon and they claimed I needed a new SIM card because they had no record of issues with the 4G network. I was sent to a Verizon store and they swapped me out a new SIM card. Of course, I still have 3G. Lol! I am convinced! The Verizon techs have NO Clue on how to troubleshoot this phone or maybe any new 4G phone. I will just wait for the service to come back up. SMH!

Im in DC and am having the same issues, although, mine don't seem to take the 3g route as often, but instead, they just go below 1g. I called Verizon today, asking what their plans were for compensating TB customers who are dealing with both, the reboot issues, and now this. He of course told me that the Reboot issue is being worked on by the manufacturer (notice how its always "WE" when its something good, but "The man" when its something bad?) and as far as the 4g issue...he/ they hadn't been aware of any issues. He walked me through some REALLY basic steps and since everything had seemed to be in order, his next and final suggestion to solve the problem would be to do a master reset. He says that its not a network problem, but a phone issue, and if after doing a master reset (which I'm not doing) that still doesn't resolve the issue...that they will just have to replace the phone.
I love this phone...but these problems, along with the fact that the TB seems to be the last in getting the really cool stuff, are making it really hard to be content.

Sent via TapaTalk on my HTC Thunderbolt. Yep...that just happened ...

Well, it could be a phone issue, but most likely firmware or perhaps software related. my issues with connectivity seem vastly improved once i started using mr2, others reported the same, and that the mr2 also seemed to reduce restart issues.

I was having similar issues until I flashed. My phone kept dropping 3G/4G completely. It would show signal, but not have network access.

Flashing, definitely seems to be the way to go, and I have no problem with that. As a matter of fact, I flashed my Nook Color within the first week of getting it... but that was me, having a clear intent to flash it once I purchased it.
I can't honestly say, that I had that same intent upon purchasing my TB/LTE Smartphone/Verizon's New Baby. My issue is that, we as consumers, have to go through the extra trouble of "souping up" our smartphones, for them to do what they're suppose to do in the first place. Its funny that I leave BB because the lack of OS attention, and I found myself having to reboot the phone once a day for it to work properly. Now, my TB is doing that all by itself (a few times a day), and still not working properly, along with the fact that the 4G/3G dropping down to NO NETWORK seems to be happening more and more often. As the VZW rep suggested, do I really need to perform a master reset, just to see if my phone's network gets to working back properly?
Sorry for venting in this post, and I do realize there's no such thing as a perfect phone... but I really am unhappy with how things are being handled with these issues, and the lack of concrete information being given to us.
