Keep Moto X 2014 or Buy Verizon DE Moto X 2013?

I've been all over the board lately in the cell phone realm. With unlimited data, I have a lot of flexibility with what phone I use.

Here's the dilemma ... I have a Moto X 2014 that I really like (bought for $410 on Craigslist brand new), but am having a hard time justifying the this version is over the Ebay deal of the Verizon Developer's Edition for $219.99. Add in the Otterbox case for the 2014 X that I just bought (and could return to Verizon) and it jumps up to $450. Otterbox case for the 2013 X is down to $13 on Amazon.

So my question is ... should I just stay with my Moto X 2014 or sell it and grab one of the Moto X 2013 Developer's Edition? I played with a buddy of mine's 2013 X at work today and aside from the screen and the Lollipop update it didn't seem like much of a step up. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys and gals.

The developer edition is, from what I understand, harder to brick, like a Nexus. If you aren't going to be messing around with ROms and such, I would keep what you have.

If you don't have a preference for either size.
Moto X 2014 is faster with a larger, "better" screen.
I found the Moto X 2014 noticeable faster than the OG Moto X.

I have both a 2014 Moto X and a 2013 Moto X. While I like the size of the 2013 version better, the overall package of the 2014 version is better.

No simultaneous voice / data on Verizon killed the 14 for me.

I dropped down to the 2013 X and am in love. I truly wish I would have gotten this phone over the LG G2 a year ago. Absolute perfect size (I'm 5'8, 155...small hands, ha). Thanks for the comments guys.
