Keeping an eye out for unlocked V20--and will it work on T-Mobile

Blackberry Priv launched last year, unlocked, with a great feature: put the T-Mobile SIM in, and it instantly became a FULL client on the T-Mobile network. Visual voicemail and T-Mo's wifi calling instantly worked, just like you bought it from T-Mobile.

That's my gold standard for buying unlocked phones. LG will sell the V20 unlocked; I'm going to wait and see how well that will integrate with T-Mo, or whether I need to buy a T-Mo phone.

Not sure yet; you could buy it from T-Mobile though and it'd work. If that all fails, the Pixel does support all of T-Mo's stuff except for AWS band 66.

yeah, and the T-Mo V20 will support band 66.

One reason to keep switching up phones is because the cellular technology keeps changing, at least in T-Mobile world, and even a two year old phone is lacking compared to the new frequencies and technologies.

Not just TMo, Sprint's network keeps changing, too.
Good reason for new tech.... :)
