Keeping backspace pressed doesn't move the cursor backward continuously

Samsung A5 Duos. Have tested with Samsung and other keyboards from Playstore. Can't get repeat backward cursor movement even when the backspace is pressed continuously. For every backward cursor movement, I have to release the back space button and press it again. Any settings issue?

Try using Google Keyboard. I know for a fact it works on it.
