Keeping screen on?

Hi all,
Is there some way to keep the screen on when I need to? I've already gone into Developers Options and enabled the screen on while charging, but the screen dims after a while.
When I use my phone for Nav, I want the screen always on.

There are a few apps that are supposed to help with this. Dim Lock is one of them.
