kernal question

No problem! Let me know if it fixes the problem. Be sure to wipe cache and dalvik and have a safe backup prior to downgrading.

Ok last thing I see people say give it a couple of days.... should I wait to roll back or go ahead and thanks for the reply

did you double check your battery usage to make sure something isnt running 100% of the time and not putting the phone into sleep? easy way to tell is check your awake time....then put the phone to sleep (power button) give it 3 or 4 min or whatever...then check the awake time again...you should only gain about 20-30 sec from what your original number was.

heres what im running...stock rls5..

Ok so i just checked the awake time and it wasn't 20 or 30 sec it was 2 mins so now what. I have watch dog but it hasn't alerted me so what do i do now

Ok so I looked at my battery usage and it shows maps to be using 85% of my battery usage but I can't get it to stop and watch dog isn't picking it up any ideas

Have you activated Lattitude? I've seen this issue before among other people even on stock. You may need to go into running apps and force close maps, reboot and see if that works. If lattitude is activated it can eat your battery also.

The best kernel would be the one that comes with the phone(stock). Even if you change the kernel - battery life will suck then, just as it does with stock.

Well Mabye for you, but the most of us agree that a custom, overclocked kernel is superior to a stock one.

Where you getting your information from? Mind posting some screenshots of this misinformation?

Please research before you give advice. Ignorant comments only hurt the forums.

I was researching this on XDA and the consensus is it's the PRI causing maps to show/cause the battery drain. Once the PRI was downgraded it was no longer an issue. You may want to go ahead and try the downgrade.

after an hour of messing with my phone it finally stopped maps from running. At first i tried to force stop it under the manageapplication but it still was showing up in the battery usage. Everytime i would go back in the battery usage it would still be running but the FORCE STOP button would not let me click it again. Then i tried to uninstall thru the market and app brain but it kept telling me error try again later. So finally i got mad and rebooted my phone because i intended on deleting this rom but when the phone booted up i checked and no maps is running. I never use Latitude so i dont konw why my maps booted up?? So i unplugged this morning @7 and with a little internet surfing im at 88% so i think im good.... ANYbody want to chime in on this because all of yalls advice has helped SO THANKS MUCH
