Kernel and ROM flashing question

I am currently running Skyraider on my Droid Incredible with the latest froyo/sense version of Incredikernel. I would like to flash CM7.1 with the apropriate version of Incredikernel. Which do I flash first? The ROM or the kernel? Does it matter?

You would flash rom first, and then after that kernel. You can do it all in one session if you want. That's what I've always done
