so i'm running the new pac-man build based on 4.3, and i'm just... really confused.... as far as kernels go. i'd like something i can use to undervolt to help save battery life, to overclock for cpu-intensive tasks, and dual booting would be a really nifty option. can anyone help me? i was having serious issues with a soft brick and you guys helped a lot, this is the only android forum i have an account on (though i am guilty of lurking the others occassionally)

Kernels are the Heart of the phone...
Its the thing between the CPU and your finger. Which involves touch response, toggles, (GPS, Wifi, Radios) and everything else in between.
Your ROM is already running a custom kernel. BUT.... some are adjustable, and others are not for stability.
Download trickster https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bigeyes0x0.trickstermod&hl=en
and see if your kernel is customizable now,
If not, just read on XDA about available kernels, and look at how many downloads it has (thats a good indication)
PAC man runs CM, & Paranoid, So Id find a CM kernel, it will most likely work the best.
Good luck

so.... i dont see any options to undervolt anything anywhere in any app, and i tried flashing ktoonsez kernel, as the thread i saw it in said it was specifically designed for cm10 and it just stuck on the kernel logo

Im not sure why. Are you flashing it with your recovery? and have the kernel zip on the phone?
It should work. No reason for it not to work

i have the kernel zip on the phone, i am flashing it from recovery, wiping cache and dalvik and fixing permissions afterwards, still stuck on kernel screen

i am using the kt747 kernel for 4.3 aosp with 4.3.1 carbonrom. i got nothing. it didnt work with 4.3 pacman either

just now tried flashing over a fresh installation. stuck on kernel screen, still. i know i installed the kt747 kernel with MOARs aurora installer and it worked. but that was 4.1.2 rom

doesnt work with 4.3 liquidsmooth either. the kernel says its for linux 3.4 kernels, liquidsmooth is running on 3.4.62 cyanogenmod kernel. im not sure if thats significant, but...
