If this is a .35 kernel like the title of the thread says, can I use it with the .35 gingerbread kernels on xda? (I find gingerbread to be more stable/fully functional) Thanks arjen for all you are doing!!!

wouldent hurt to try i dont guess i have been playing with many different roms and builds of ics and sometimes you get that rom that just boot loops if it does that just pull battery then restart and go into recovery do your wipes and load another rom

I think he is talking about Android 2.3 (Gingerbread), not ICS. I have the same question - should this kernel work with 2.3 ROMs (modded stock or customs)?

If the rom says it was designed for new bb it should in theory work but it shouldent hurt to try i have not tested that yet im mainly interested in ics personaly lol but if the rom says .35 new baseband it should work (in theory) so make sure you have a good nandroid backup ( a backup made in recovery) and try it out and let everyone know the result

Can anyone test this kernel on the testrom from other thread?

Testing both now on my thrive. I can say that this one boots. I still get blackscreen bug also. Beyond that it's probably not best for me to test this on a phone it wasn't designed for. Great progress though!!! :) thanks

Well, the Thrive ICS kernel will be the same as the Phoenix kernel ;)
Only when I hear Thrive users complain that colors are distorted I will release one with the other screendriver :D

Is performance increased comparing to the standard kernel in the P505 testrom?

Running the new kernal, and the test rom.

Colors are distored
Black screen to the point that i can't get to the lock screen after it locked
I'll try the new kernal on AOKP and see what i can about the kernal.

Edit:
lockscreen still not showing up, and i confirm wifi doesn't turn on.

Its because of the display drivers that the phone can't turn back on.

KERNEL. KERNELKERNELKERNEL. This is not okay anymore.

Kernal kernel. People lets not ruin a relrvent thread with bickering over a stupid word spelling. People make mistakes I've spelled it the same way it happens. Because it bugs you is no reason to make someone feal like crap for not spelling it right. Lets just keep the thread on track.

There is great work going on and for noobs it is confusing enough without being told to spell better lol

Any way thats just my 2 cents.
