What are some good kernals for DJ05 besides voodoo and stupidfast? I'm currently using the latest stupidfast for DJ05 and am not getting great battery life. Any suggestions?

I'm using the kernel from the initial DJ05 release here: [RELEASE] DJ05 rom, kernel, radio

I'm using it with the stock DJ05 ROM that's been highly debloated - I've removed all the Verizon crap, all the DRM (digital rights management) stuff, since I don't download any music/videos on the phone, I even removed all the Bluetooth apps/files, since I don't use any Bluetooth accessories. I'm getting upwards of 3 days on a charge, with modest use, and a solid 2 days with moderate use.

Yea, I've also noticed rather poor battery life on the StupidFast kernels, and I've steered clear of Voodoo since I don't use my phone in a manner that Voodoo would be useful.

I might have to try that if v1.76 doesn't do the trick. Its not like I'm getting horrible battery life, its just not improved from stock

What's on your screen clock at the end of those 2 to 3 days?

I'm also using geeknik's stupidfast 1.54 kernel for DJ05 and having to charge my phone before I go to sleep on the 2nd night with moderate use also. I'm using super dark rom to go along with it though.

What screen brightness are you guys using? Mines pretty low and display is still the biggest power user

Screen is almost always biggest power user only to be bested by talk time. I keep mine at tge lowest and I disable background data

settings>accounts & Sync> background data.... this will stop your RSS feeds and email pushes. but if you open any of them up they will update manually. sometimes its good to shut if off before you go to sleep, i just always keep mine off and check stuff when i feel like it..

This will not stop phone calls or text messages so no worries

Not sure exactly, I'll have to check next time, but the #'s 1, 2 and 3 are usually Cell Standby, Phone Idle and Display, in that order.

I always have mine at the lowest setting, since I'm almost always indoors. And at night, dim the screen further with Privacy Filter (which lets you overlay a black color over the screen and adjust the opacity of that color, essentially dimming the screen).

I've never heard of privacy filter, I might have to give it a try

I always have my display at the lowest too but it is always the no 1 drainer. The list is not to be trusted though, I will make one five minute phone call all day and it will show like 70% usage. I use it for the runtimes, the percentages are total bull****.

Yea, totally. That and the time without signal are absurdly inaccurate,

yup, and also the time since last charge seems to be totally off sometimes too... if I hook up a blue tooth device it can totally throw off the time since last charge stats

Interesting, I have never seen that. Does the last-charge timer reset when you pair something? The only thing I use the stats screen for is the lastcharge/display/call clock, and to see if there are any rogue apps with absurdly high usages. I have caught a few apps behaving especially badly and uninstalled them with the quickness.
