Just got my Note 10+ and LOVE IT.

When I'm talking on the phone my cheek pushes buttons.. how do I set phone up to lock buttons while on call?

It should turn off the screen when putting it to your ear.

Welcome to Android Central! Were you on speakerphone at the time? Speakerphone deactivates the proximity sensor, such that the screen won't turn off if you hold it up to your ear.
