Keyboard cover nightmare

As title says I love the concept of the new cover, but it's been a nightmare keeping the back cover on when in stand position. Everytime I try to prop it up the stand collapses and case comes off the back of tablet. Don't know if it's defective or if I'm doing something wrong. I have tried on different surfaces with the same result. It's very annoying seeing how expensive the case is.

I hope it's user error 😂 J/K... Is that the keyboard cover? I know that must be a pain. I have a regular "placeholder" book cover coming from BB tomorrow.

I'm hoping it's users error as well since I love the minimalist look and feel it provides. It's so slimmer than the s4 while still providing more and not seeming cheap. Maybe I should just have it swapped out and see if there's a difference.

I don't think the case is supposed to be that easy to come off. I saw that there's some sort of suction-y type area that should hold it tight. Maybe a swap isn't a bad idea. I'll share my experience with it tomorrow.

I need to watch some videos. Other than that I love the case.

Right now I'm using this clear one from Amazon, $8. I have easy access to the Spen, but the Samsung covers appear to encase the Spen. At first, I liked the idea of having the it protected when not in use. I just have to see what I like best when the Samsung one gets here today.

If I rather the pen be free, I'll save a grip, cuz Amazon has the book cover (stand) for around $12 in the pink.

It's here, and the second I put my Tab in it, I felt buyer's remorse. I see what you mean. The sticky approach is cheap. It's going back. 😂

Oh no! You too!? Now I'm concerned. I saw no issues with it in the reviews. Mine's due to arrive this Friday. Hmmmm

Yea it really sucks because it seems like a nice case, but the back doesn't stay on at all when in stand mode. I've tried pressing really hard on the back several times. At one point I felt confident that it would stay but ended up disappointed again after on a few minutes. Maybe we all have defective units lol.

There is a clear bit of plastic that needs to be peeled off and then it sticks with some kind of adhesive on the black rubber bits. Once you peel the plastic it sticks very well.

Be careful to line up the cutout for the camera opening as a guide. I wasn't paying enough attention and had is misaligned a couple of times. The back sticks great and the fact it took me three attampts doesn't appear to have had any lasting issue on the adhesivemenss.

See my reply to Katrina. You have to remove the plastic that is covering the adhesive.

Ok, my keyboard just arrived and I see the issues you are talking about. Cleaned the back well, removed the adheasive and rubbed it to secure it...then propped it up and wham...it disconnected. Maybe I'm missing something ....I'll be looking closer in a moment

OK, after about 10 minutes of rubbing and sealing...the back stays on now....and the keyboard works as epected. Not sure this was the intent...but...with the amount of different tapes out there, I see keeping the back on security to be a low priority issue. First pass through the keyboard, and the abiity to replace the acutal keyboad with just a cover...i'm liking that.

So far, satisfied...

My back came off the first time I used the kickstand. I pressed it firmly for a few seconds and it stays on like glued.

Very impressed with the keyboard and the actual typing experience.

I also noticed, no matter which side I am placing the pen in the cutout (button up or button down, it charges it.

I agree...its not optimal, but certainly works.

mine fell off that very first time...aftr extended pressing...not since....and the keyboard comes off...and the kickstand stays..really nice

The first thing I did was remove the adhesive. Never has mine given a vacuum like suction. Guess I really need to change it out.

I suspect the adhesive needs to cure a bit. Once I figured out the clear plastic bit it has been solid.
