Keyboard...gboard or stock?

Gboard on Oreo, stock since I updated to Pie. The new oneui keyboard is imo very nice

GBoard, dont see how people use the stock keyboard unless they have improved gif, sticker, and voice support substantially.

I'm with you Silverfang77...Swiftkey...been using it for, I don't know how long...since I had my Note 3 maybe

Which do you use?

SwiftKey, for years, across many devices. Love it.
I change phones often. I currently have three. By signing into the SwiftKey app, my dictionary crossed devices, stating current on each.
I like the customization, theme and sizing choices.

Great thread topic! Though I do not have a Note 9, I use Gboard, but I do switch between that and SwiftKey; depending on my needs and usage patterns. I've seen that stock keyboards are normally pretty good got Samsung phones.

When and why do you use gboard over SwiftKey?

I'm actually using SwiftKey right now! I switch between those two but rely more heavily on Gboard. I think Gboard works better for me, maybe due to having more exposure to it on my Pixel 2 - but I do like the customization options of SwiftKey. I've used both, and would recommend both. :)

After seeing this thread I decided to give Samsung keyboard a try again seeing how it's been quite sometime since I tried it (always use Gboard) and NOPE. Predictive text is much better on Gboard so back I go.

Predictive text on Gboard is definitely on par.

Samsung needs some work on it's predictive text ...I'm on Gboard because of it.

I use gboard for two reasons, the first is because it will not auto space in the search bar and the second is it doesn't allow swipe and spacebar navigation at the same time plus it doesn't have swipe delete with the back key.
I like the Samsung keyboard but those are a big no go.

After reading this I had to give both a try. I got through about a day and a half with each before I had to give up and go back to SwiftKey. I've been on SwiftKey for as long as I can remember. I like the way the stock keyboard will update with the theme I choose but I'm just to use to SwiftKey.

I think all three have their good and bad points, but at the end of the day it comes down to what you've become accustomed to. Like was mentioned above, I sign in to my SwiftKey account and all the learned predictive text are ready to go. It's also very easy to add a custom background to match my current theme.
