Keyboard Lag

People still having keyboard lag after EC05? I thought that update was supposed to fix it, but mine isn't any better. Any fixes out there for the stock OS? Thanks.

Yes the update was "supposed" to fix it, but it definitely didn't. It might have made it worse. There is no fix on a stock OS, the only way I have been able to fix it is by rooting, flashing a rom, flashing a kernel with mkasick's keyboard patch, and then using impalers speed demon keyboard patch to fix it. Seems to be the only way to fix it. Sorry stock doesn't have a fix :/

qbking77 is quite right on this. This is another one of those situations where rooting and running a ROM/custom kernel package with the keyboard lag fix is the only way to resolve this issue.

Many people look down on rooting and ROMS but there is a lot of benefits to them besides just removing bloatware and having a custom look.

Sorry wish we could help but that is your only option as long as your running Froyo.

Lol, seriously? That was one of the main reasons I wanted the Epic 4G. However, I find that I tend to use the on screen keyboard far more than the physical. I still use the physical keyboard for the longer typing sessions, like replying to forum posts on Tapatalk or emails.

I have found that after I installed swiftkey keyboard, the physical keyboard ran much much smoother. You could I've that a shot. Could just be me.
