Keyboard pop up lag

I always used to find the pop ups on SwiftKey awfully laggy but actually been using the beta for a while now on my note 8 and it fine.

If however I change up gboard or the Samsung keyboard, I find the lag of the key press animations awful. Neither of those keyboards can keep up at all and the lag spoils their their use. Has anyone else going the same? On my past phone I always found gboard fine

I've been using Gboard and had not noticed any lag. I just switched over the SwiftKey beta to compare and I definitely can tell a difference. It's not just you. SwiftKey is significantly quicker with the pop ups.

I've been having issues with G board since Oreo update, it will freeze up and not function and lag. Takes a restart to fix it. I've cleared the cache on phone, next will be uninstall and reinstall G board, then only thing left is new keyboard or FDR, and I'm thinking FDR probably not going to happen just to fix G board.

This is why I hate updates, there's always some issue. The forums are full of complaints now, before it was generally good things. Just like clock work, everyone is whining about wanting the update, the update finally drops and then the forums fill up with complaints.
