Keyboard problems on Noughat

[AC Question]

Is it just me or is anyone else's keyboard very slow and the most annoying thing is when I press the back button my keyboard used to minimise but now it doesn't. Even if I press my home button it takes a good 20 seconds+ to dissapear.

This didn't happen before my insurance company updated to Noughat. It's driving me mad !!!

Welcome to Android Central! This is more likely to be an issue with your specific keyboard app or device, not with Nougat in general. Which are you using?

It's the standard Samsung keyboard. It worked fine prior to the update.

Several things have stopped working and battery drains quicker on this update

Which phone? It may help to wipe the cache partition. If it's the S7, here are the steps: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-24999

Yeah s7 edge. Tried this a few times. Unfortunately didn't fix it. There's quite a few things changed / not working properly since updated

Tried a different keyboard. Seems OK on this one
