So i hate the stock android keyboard and never use it really. I have swiftkey 3 dowloaded on my phone and in my settings i have it set as the default keyboard to use.. but many times ill open an app and it has switched back to the android keyboard. This also happens whenevier i shutoff or restart my phone. Is there anyway to fix this? or completely disable the keyboard?

Try going into the Application Manager and disabling the Samsung keyboard. I'm not sure if you can do this from the app manager, or if you have to be rooted and use a tool like Titanium Backup to "freeze" it, though.

I was actually having the same issue. I use swiftkey, and every time I reboot my S3 the keyboard gets reset. I just made it a habit of changing back to that as my input device everytime it boots. I was hoping the newest update from swiftkey would fix it, but I can't confirm that yet, as my phone hasn't been rebooted. I find it strange, because this wasn't happening to my phone when it was on ICS, but ever since Jelly Bean, this has been an issue.

On a side-note, the newest swiftkey is freaking awesome. Flow is crazy good at predicting what I am trying to say, even when I'm practically scribbling all over they keyboard. I'm loving it.
