So this is probably a completely idiotic oversight on my part .....but when im typing...like right now for instance.....and i screw up and mistype something.....when i try to tap on the spot in a word that i would like to correct the blue arrow thingy always goes somewhere else. Like usually four or five letters ahead of where i would like to be. I know i can grab it and move it where i want....but why wont it insert where i tap?

I've noticed the same thing. Not sure why it does it. Do you screw up typing more then usual compared to other phones? Coming from a Droid X, i didnt seem to get my butt kicked by typing as much as i do on this phone. I wonder if a different keyboard would make a difference.

Im coming from a og droid, where i used the hard keyboard a lot. This keyboard is better than the droids....but im still getting used to typing on screen.... I have a tendency when thping fast to hit the b instead of the space bar. Would love to know why i cant tap and have the cursor be where i tap.

Things like this are why I alway buy a phone that has a hard keyboard. Yeah it makes the phone "less sexier" (thicker and heavier), but typing long emails/texts and avoid situations such as this I find to be a crucial element to my satisfaction with the device as a whole.

Options.

First, what does "OG" mean just before the phone you're referring to?

Second I prefer the SwiftKey X keyboard much more than the stock one that comes with the phone. It's much more flexible and the prediction is just as good - maybe better.

OG = original, first.

Droid 3, Droid 2, OG Droid...

Droid X2, OG Droid X....

PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, OG PlayStation...

Not to be confused with original gangster or old geezer.
