keyboard question

I went in to my verizon store today and played with the demo droid. The keyboard was horrible. It felt like it was totally flat with no bumps at all. Is this the demo or the same in all the droids?

Unfortunately, the keyboard does stink. I only use it for the crossword puzzle app that I have. However the tactile vertual keyboard in landscape works great.

It was funny, I went with the Droid over the Eris because of the keyboard. Turns out I hate it. The qwerty in landscape mode is the way to go for sure. I turned on the haptic feedback and it feels really nice typing like that.
