Keyboard quits unexpectedly

Hi,

After the last update I have problems with the keyboard. At least once in day it quits working (it happens in Viber, Facebook, Contacts, trying to type someone's name to call, etc) and I am forced to restart the phone in order to make it work once again. It is very weird and annoying problem. I hope someone has a solution?

Welcome to Android Central! Was this after an update to the keyboard app, or a system update?

Try booting into Recovery Mode and wiping the cache partition, which won't erase any personal data. Follow the steps in this link, but instead of selecting Wipe Data/Factory Reset, make sure you select Wipe Cache Partition. When complete, then select Reboot System Now.

Thank you for your reply. I tried your recommendation with nothing better happening to the phone and the problem.
Then I reseted the phone to the factory settings and again, the problem persists.
I am in doubt what to do next.

Have you tried installing a different keyboard, like Google Keyboard (if it wasn't preinstalled), or Swiftkey?

Thanks for the recommendation, it seems all fine now after installing Google Keyboard
