Any way to disable the period when you tap space bar twice? Beyond irritating.

Depends on what keyboard you are using.

You can control this with Swiftkey, and that's all I ever use.

I was using Swiftkey but it kept autocorrecting and inserting words that were completely wrong so I ended up fixing everything more often then it actually making things faster for me. Shame you can't disable something so simple.
