Recent owner of the nexus 10 and so far enjoying the ride. One little annoyance has come up that I'm hoping you folks can help with.

Even with the keyboard sounds deselected from the drop down menu, I cannot get rid of the sound and vibration while typing. If the volume is toggled off with the rocker button, the sound is decreased, but still present and the vibration is ridiculously annoying.

Any ideas for solution's?

Make sure the following are unchecked:

Settings - Sound

"Touch sounds"
"Vibrate on touch"

These might be the same but in Language and Input, Android keyboard... Select the three horizontal lines with sliders
Make sure the same options as above are unchecked.

If you have Swiftkey installed, it has it's own setting for those, as well.
I use a combination of the two to get the config I like

On android 4.2.1 long click on the microphone icon shown in the keyboard (next to ?123 key) and then on android keyboard settings. Hope this helps.

I'm new to Android and I was wondering how to remove the keyboard sound and vibration while typing. Good thing this post still exists.
Thanks.

Is there any way to increase the volume on the keyboard touch sounds?? With KK its really soft.
