Question Keyboard

I have a new Tecno phone. It uses Gboard for the keyboard. When I type in Messenger, the comma doesn't work. I've tried long press, shift, caps lock, etc. It just always comes up as a period.

English. The button left of space bar is comma, or the button right of space bar is period with one of the long press options a comma.

What Android version does it run?
Try clearing the keyboard data and Force stop it

Did Gboard come preinstalled on the phone? Is it fully updated in the Play Store?
