To be fair though, previous experience with Android player devices have either been simple boxes running Android or were part of the Google TV world and run completely different software than the Nexus Player (Android TV). Before, they kind of required a keyboard as the OS was built around keyboard and mouse input. Android TV was built around voice input as well as being controlled from the simple Nexus Player controller. If it's anything like the Apple TV and Roku devices, a simple keyboard will pop up that's easy to navigate. A keyboard will only be helpful when searching using a Nexus Player, that is unless it runs Chrome. Even then the virtual keyboard would likely suffice for typing in a web address.
