I am liking my phone so far but one thing bothers me is the keyboard. I hate it. Anyway to change it out?

FWIW, GBoard is considered by most to be the best 3rd party or 1st party keyboard for Android. But if you don't like it, there are many options out there. Android Central had a good article on this earlier this year. https://www.androidcentral.com/best-keyboard-android

Okay I was informed I could change the color and increase the size of the keyboard. So I did and it is much better now.

Yeah, those two are the most popular. I think it's worth giving each a try and deciding. I love Swiftkey's predictive typing. But for me it slows me down a bit. Not sure why.

Swiftkey has no competition when it comes to prediction.
Plus the gestures are dope.
I HATE the fact that it lags sometimes, and I really don't like the animation and transitions compared to the smooth Gboard experience.
For now using Gboard.

Tried both and find Swiftkey is less accurate for me personally. YMMV, but I have grown to prefer Gboard. but def try both.

How do you mean 'less accurate'? The predictions are less accurate, or the keyboard itself (key response, getting the correct key, etc.)?
I do all of my typing in landscape orientation and SwiftKey offers a split keyboard which makes it easier to reach the keys with both thumbs; Gboard doesn't offer anything like that.

I used swiftly a lot over the years and it seemed to just get better as time went by but when I got my pixel and used Gboard for the first time really using it I seemed I hit keys with better accuracy and I could type much faster and maintain good accuracy. I've never gotten really comfy typing in landscape so always use portrait and feel Gboard shines better in that regard. Just my personal experience using both.
However, these days I just talk to it more than anything. Voice typing has become so accurate compared to how it used to be.

I just can't get used to talking to my phone (except when I'm on a call). I've tried Gboard several times but I always wind up going back to Swiftkey.
