How Do I Update The Software On My T-Mobile SGH-t959 (Vibrant) Phone To JI6 Through Kies Mini?

Just updated last night using Kies. Everything went smoothly and my phone is working quite well.

how long does it usually take to initialize on the phone?

I can only speak to the OTA but I've heard it takes about the same time 10-15 min for the whole process.

I plugged my phone in (with full battery) and about 20 minutes later I was updated. About 3-5 min to download, 5-7 minutes to install, and 5-10 to boot up and finalize.

It takes longer to boot up than it does to download/install. So, don't freak out but it will hang on the giant S "Galaxy S" screen for a few minutes longer than normal. But after that the initialization of the OS after boot (IE: Widgets, Media Card scanner) is much quicker.

I tried using this, but when Io plug in my phone it says "unregistered device"...its not rooted, unlocked, etc. I can't help but wonder if it is because I got that "bad" JI5 updated that showed up online then go pulled. Any ideas anyone?
