Kind of wondering if anyone owns this badboy in 2023?

So... after repeated death and destruction of multiple phones at my job no matter of the case or brand, I have accepted I need a rugged phone despite the limitations. I am leaning to this for the wireless charging (I would rather have it and not need it than have the port die and not have it when needed) and the promise of updates. Just curious ifanyoneon Android Central still has it? Have any opinions?

Bueller? Bueller?

I still have and use my xr20. I love it. The one complaint I had was that the battery didn't seem as good as it should, and I was thinking it was someone else's returned unit. But the battery was a lot better than I thought. I need to get the battery replaced.

I appreciate it. It seems the 2 main complaints on the phone is the ease of it turning on in your pocket and the camera's. I am not a photography guy so I am sure I will be fine on that.

The battery is interesting. Looks like from earlier posts you have had it a year? What was the life like when you bought it as opposed to now?

The battery was only giving me maybe 5 hours of screen on time. I thought it should be at least 6 hours, but expected it to be about 8 hours. Now I've ruined it to about 90 minutes of screen-on time. From keeping it plugged in all the time. I've had the phone close to 2 years. It seemed possessed the first few months, and I can't explain how certain things could happen, but the reset fixed everything. I just need a new battery and I'll be all set.

They've come up with a new version of this phone, if you'd like to check that out. I'm sure it's on their website. Maybe this one has a lower price now.

The camera turns on Everytime I try to turn off the screen. It's annoying but not a deal breaker.

So I had to send back the unit I bought. After several attempts, I could not get it to work with AT&T. Super bummed. Having to come up with a back up plan.

I do appreciate you responding to me and giving me insights. I was looking forward to using this.

That's too bad. I bought it from Amazon, for use on Cricket. I put the sim into the phone from the freebie they gave me after they murdered my 6.1 and that's all I had to do.

Just want to mention that Nokia phones still support microsd cards/dual sims. There's a button on this phone for programming some function you do a lot, although I haven't used it. I like how they add things like that, it becomes more and more an extension of the brain. Unfortunately my most recent microsd card has gotten lost since I put it into the freebie and took it out and misplaced it into a phone package. It will turn up at some point. But I like how the phone can still handle them in 2023.

I ended up with a Motorola Think Phone. I like it fine, and think I will be happy with it. But the Nokia thing is bothering me. Seems everywhere else I research it, AT&T users (and Cricket like on this thread) had no problem. Wonder if the radio was bad? If so, that is a missed opportunity for me. always set up my phones over wi-fi to ensure everything works, and I really liked how it ran.

My XR20 sort of died. The screen was dark when I woke up yesterday and I couldn't get it fixed. Fortunately I had my new phone which I've been setting up since yesterday. It's a motog 5G 2023. I've gone from battery hell to battery heaven. The phone is amazing. After 12 hours of screen on time, the battery still had 50%.

I'm doing Rukbat's battery plan, charging when I reach 40%, and stopping when I reach 80%. I did it from my 6.1 and I still had a healthy battery.

The moto g still has some of the defects they usually have. The keyboard side chars don't always type. My pin number "trips" by stumbling over the first digit. The lock screen is too dark, I have to touch the power button to see it normally.
