kinda oddball question regarding the weather widget

Okay so i had the Droid 2 for about a week and now I finally got my hands on the DX. With the exception that the D2 runs Froyo, the widgets and skin for that matter are the same on both devices. I noticed that the weather widget on the D2 would automatically update itself depending on my current location. The DX doesn't do that, and im pretty sure its the exact same widget. All the location settings are the same as they were before. Could the froyo widget really be that different? I went into the settings of that widget and all i had was the option to add or delete a city. Can someone who is running froyo on their DX check this out for me? Thanks in advance

Froyo moto weather widget has GPS location updating, 2.1 does not.

2.2 on my X has GPS updating for moto weather widget.

Oh it's very tempting... But I'm not familiar enough with this new platform (former BB user) to be attempting an OS install like that. I'll just wait it out. The issue I mentioned with the widget, is minuscule at best
