The Tbolt comes with a version of the Kindle app that Verizon puts on the phone. I was about to get the newer version online but wondered if when I did the upgrade this Verizon-installed version would stay or be replaced. Has anyone done this? I was about to but hesitated because I wasn't sure of what would happen.

I noticed the update after I installed Kindle yesterday. It does just update it. The app is awesome, tons of free books! Loving it.

I just ran the update. Wow, what a difference from the original version on the phone! The one on the phone was version 1.0, the new one is 3.0. Clearly they've worked on it.

Yup. I'm impressed. Check out the book store update!
Ok lol help a newbie, Am i to use Verizon kindle or get the one from the market place. Or am I way off and I am to install Verizon version and then get the one from the market place lol sorry I am such a noob.

If you have a TBolt, a Kindle app comes preinstalled on the phone; however, it is an older version. As I discovered today, you can simply download the one from the Market and it replaces the one that came with the phone.

Thanks Trek,

I did and I am loving the entire layout.

I can't get any of my archived books to open. I always get a message about it being an invalid item and to remove it and try again.
