Kindle Data Transfer micro USB Doesn't fit Note 2?

Anyone else experienced this? The Kindle micro USB worked fine on my S2 but just doesn't seem to fit the Note 2.

I've got some micro USB cords that fit and others that do not. The Note 2 is the first device I've had that was picky about which micro USB cord I used. For example, my Sprint car charger connector that I bought for my old Evo 4G just falls out of the Note 2 when I drive. Some connectors are too big for the Note 2. The Micro USB standard must allow for really wide tolerances.

I think it is because of the curved side trim of the Note II. It prevents some micro usb port to plug all the way in. Some people trim their plastic casting on top to make it fit.
