Android Central Question

Hi guys I have a brand new Kindle Fire 10 HD. Whenever I try and download and install a apk file the install option is greyed out....

I have enable sources in security.

There might be a screen overlay issue. Do you have any screen dimming apps installed? Those commonly cause a screen overlay, which can interfere with certain onscreen buttons (like the Install button for apks).

This is a known issue with Fire OS 5.6.0.0 - but the workaround is simple. When you get to your "install" screen with the greyed out button, use the power button to make your tablet sleep, then wake it up again (enter your passcode if necessary) and then after about a second, your "install" button will be enabled.
