What do i do if my kindle fire hd has frozen and it wont turn on/off or the sound wont work, it is just frozen on the app store page and has 3 quarters of battery. i was just scrolling down the page then it stopped and that was it?

Have you tried holding the power button down for about 20 seconds? That should force a shutdown.
