Kindle Fire not charging shows ? on battery icon

My kindle fire is rooted with twrp and custom boot animation and glazed ics rom all was good untill I plugged it in abd turned it on and the orange light does not come on brightly then it turns off when it is finished booting it shows a question mark on the battery on the status bar I flashed back to stock and its still the same thing what did I do? I even tried to calbirate the battery using a app called battery calbrator Any help is appreciated

I am now on my 3rd kindle fire that would not take a charge. If you prop the kindle fire upright and have the sit on the power cord sometimes the pressure of the Kindle Fire will let it charge. If not return it. We bought ours from Best Buy the first time it was only 10 months old and under the year warranty, they replaced, but I bought the $30 extended warranty with this one. And now 9 months later this one stopped charging and I took it to Best Buy and they replaced it with a new one. They said this is a common problem. Some kind of lose connection. Hope this helps.
