Hi all!
I inherited an old kindle fire tablet (don't know which version - not clearly marked). It booted properly at first. But after attempting a reboot, it now says "Installing the latest software. This will take approximately 10 minutes to complete", and seems to hang at that point. I did NOT enter internet info initially, so maybe it can't download the software.
I would like to get it to the point where I can boot it again, so I can use it or root it.
I did figure out how to get it into fastboot mode, but not sure if that helps at all.
Grateful for any and all ideas.
