KiNgxKernel BFS #2

What's the difference between all his different kernels?

I'm trying to figure out if I want to load one but haven't a clue what any of it means

Waiting to see how long the battery lasts...I'd rather have my battery last longer than to have it charge faster...I'd take both if possible.

I'm wondering the same thing. Testing it out now. Life > Charge

EDIT: 1st attempt.... 100% to 93% in a matter of 5 minutes. Hopefully a fluke, let me try again.

The download page says it's compatible with all Froyo Sense. Would there be any issues with Vanilla?

It works with vanilla roms, im using it running SR Vanilla. Personally, my battery life worse on this one. Almost drains as fast as it charges. Hopefully its just me and everyone else has favorable results. Im going back to BFS #1.

I think the question was will this work with AOSP Vanilla ROMs...SR Vanilla is not technically a true Vanilla ROM since it still contains some sense components. Will this work with CM 6 and other such AOSP ROMs?
Thanx,

This BFS #2 kernel friggin rocks!! 13 hours off the charger and at 41%!! best kernel by far thank youuuu and i'm getting higher benchmarks absolutely lovin this

Best kernal ive used.

Im using SR2.5.2, 2.15 radio, and BFS#2 kernel. It can actgually feel the difference in speed and "snappiness" of the screen. My usual benchmarks are 1200-1350 with a highest ever of 1440. Now i get 1550 no problem.

I have it set at 1.113 On Demand.

No freezing or force closes. I want to try it at 1.15 here soon though others say it gets a lower benchmark.

As for charging andf battery life charging is faster than the BFS#1 but i dont see the rediculous charging others do (such as 30%-100% in 45 min). id say maybe 60-100% in 45 min. Battery life if better. after 5 hours its down 15% with occational texting and checking facebook. This is great for me since i am work and im usually down to 50% by this time.

I did bump charge it too.

Thanks, I guess I'll do a quick kernel flash then haha.

Seems to work different on each phone. Each ROM probably plays a part.

I just tried mine on 1.15 and it straight up froze in 10 seconds. I guess my phone doesnt like that speed no matter what kernel i use. The only one i can vget to be semistable at 1.15 is the hydrakernel but that didnt even feel as fast as this or putup the same benchmarks.

Up Time: 14:41
Awake Time: 2:59
Since Unplugged: 14:41

Battery 40% (four green bars) I don't have a battery widget so don't know the specific percentage.

Not overclocking/undervolting or anything, nor am I using SetCPU.

My quad score was 1256 if memory serves (including for reference purposes)

EDIT: I forgot, I have an extended battery (2600 mAh) so take that into consideration when reviewing the above stats.

Eleven hours later and battery has about 5% left. Should die any minute. All and all I'm pleased although I still think I got better mileage on kernel #3.

Only if the vanilla one you are using is an AOSP rom like Ruby or Cyanogen. Even the vanilla roms like Skyraider are still sense roms they aren't true vanilla.

No it will not work with CM6/Ruby or any other AOSP ROM.

anyone else getting these same findings?

I was having awesome battery life to begin with on BFS #1. I was seeing 16-20 hours on a 1750 battery under 'moderate' usage. With heavy usage I could kill it within 12 hours. Extremely heavy usage will kill any battery under 10.

My scores are a bit higher on this one.

Linpack: 37's (same as #1)
Quadrant: 1557 (1338 on #1)
Neocore: 27.1 (vs 26.9 on #1)

Setcpu is set as "ondemand" and OC at 1.113Ghz. I'm impressed, as far as the battery we will see.

Charge times so far:
10 minute charge starting at 52% it has gotten to 55%. So on average I'm thinking it should gain about 18% per hour on charging. Of course it will change as the battery level changes. Meaning it would take 5.5 hours give or take to charge!!!! Eck. We will see I guess.

Alright started charging at 52% at 2:50pm today. Fully charged at 5:20. So it took 48% charge in about 2.5 hours. So the original estimate of 5-5.5 hours looks like it may be right.....eck. Going to kill it tomorrow and try it from less than 20%.
