Kinscreen App

Anyone using the Kinscreen app? I was using it on my Pixel 2 XL with no issues and it's not working on my new Pixel 3. So far the developer doesn't have an answer. Kinscreen is supposed to keep the screen on while being used, but after only a few seconds of no input, the screen dims and then turns off.

Couldn't you just change the display sleep time out or am I missing something?

I have not used that app but the app Wakey works wonderfully on the 3xl.
