I got a insignia NS-15AT07 7 inch openbox tablet form bestbuy for 60 bucks with chitchat 4.4.2. Not sure what .4 difference is. Anyhow it works fine for my needs nothing fancy.

But the bluetooth is all wonky. I got an mi band from amazon. Thing that tracks steps and sleep. It was fine but now its not. I have a mac mini and I got the mini bluetooth keyboard the one that like 75 bucks. Not min but smaller than a full keyboard in my opinion.

The keybopard synced fine. But if I turn off bluetooth and back on the devices don't stay synced. I even left bluetooth one one night and the next morning the keyboard disappeared and I had to re add it. The mi band syncs but it no longer shows under bluetooth anymore either. I got the error message too many devices near by. Then I clicked on show bands and click the first one and it synced. It showed MI in the bluetooth and I was able to sync it. Then I removed the MI FIT app and reinstalled it and it worked. Now I can sync.

But in the morning it still synced. However I noticed that MI was no longer in the bluetooth list in the settings. Weird it still syncs but it is no longer showing up in bluetooth settings.

Its too late to return. I never noticed this before. Got it on march 12th. Is this a bad tablet or a bug in kitkat?

Is the MI app running on the notification panel?

I'd say thew device is defective (or so poorly designed that, working correctly, it's as good as defective). I'd return it.

BTW, the main difference between 4.4.2 and 4.4.4 was the SSL/Heartbleed fix. So if you don't do anything on your device that you don't want anyone but the NSA to know about (and you shouldn't), there's not much difference.

I don't do any illegal things. Only facebook, web, netflix (with chromecast) so even crappy phone works, etc. Even angry birds installed and works great. Nothing illegal.

But its been more than 15 days so no return. But besides the bluetooth its still a decent device. Does what I need. And on my iphone 4s the MI band also disappeared in bluetotoh but still works. So its picky devices not a bad tablet. Or probably glitches in kitkat.

I have a set of Bluetooth speakers that sound fine with every other phone I have except for my Galaxy S5. I just recently moved from an IPhone but with all the bugs in the operating system I'm seriously thinking about going back.

The bluetooth issue is just the tip of the iceberg. I have had to reset my phone to factory defaults 4 times and getting ready to do it again. I'm to the point I'm getting ready to go back to the Iphone or maybe Windows but I've got to get away from this POS!!!
