First off, my screen brightness is never above 45%..

Second, when I'm sitting at my computer, it comes in handy when it being charged next to me..

Third, these aren't 60" tube tvs leaving vid games paused for hours thus staining the screen..

Fourth, I've never had one issue or even read a complaint about what your implying

first off, that is why android daydream mode was introduced. it acts as a functional screen saver which, depending on which daydream you choose to use, can give you lots of information at a glance and quick access to your apps.

second, granted LCD is not as susceptible to burn in as 60" tube tvs but they are not without risk:

third, its not my phone i'm leaving turned on for hours on end so whatever tickles your fancy.
