kitkat losing music and apps

Is there any way that I can stop losing apps and music stored to sd card since kitkat upgrade? Ive tried rebooting many time and hard reboot but nothing works.

Welcome to Android Central! What kind of device are you using? If it's a Samsung, those devices are kind of notorious for having problems with SD cards. But it might also be a corrupt or failing SD card--you could try another one.
